    • 4<\/span> eggs<\/span><\/li>
    • \u2154<\/span> cup<\/span> milk<\/span><\/li>
    • 2<\/span> tsp<\/span> fresh lavender flowers, chopped into a powder<\/span> 1 tsp if using dried lavender<\/span><\/li>
    • 1<\/span> tsp<\/span> sugar<\/span><\/li>
    • \u00bd<\/span> tsp<\/span> salt<\/span><\/li>
    • 1<\/span> tbsp<\/span> butter<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/div>

      Blueberry Lavender Syrup:<\/h4>
      • 1<\/span> cup<\/span> fresh blueberries<\/span><\/li>
      • 1<\/span> cup<\/span> granulated sugar<\/span><\/li>
      • 1<\/span> lemon, lime, or sour orange<\/span><\/li>
      • 1<\/span> tbsp<\/span> fresh lavender flowers chopped into a powder<\/span> 2 tsp if using dried lavender<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/div>

        Optional:<\/h4>

          Elaboraci\u00f3n paso a paso<\/h3>

          For French Toast:<\/h4>
          • Preheat a large skillet over medium heat.<\/span><\/div><\/li>
          • Whisk eggs, milk, salt, sugar, and lavender in a shallow dish until fully combined.<\/span><\/div><\/li>
          • Cut the loaf of bread into eight equal pieces.<\/span><\/div><\/li>
          • Using a fork, add the sliced bread to the egg mixture, poking holes throughout so that the bread can thoroughly soak up the mixture. Continue on, soaking two to four pieces at a time.<\/span><\/div><\/li>
          • Using a spatula, evenly coat the skillet with a tbsp of butter. You should hear and see the butter sizzling without turning brown. If your butter is browning, lower the heat to medium-low, wipe out the skillet with a paper towel, and start again.<\/span><\/div><\/li>
          • Add the soaked bread pieces 2-4 at a time, depending on the size of your skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.<\/span>
            <\/div>You don't want to overcrowd the pan; there should be space between each piece of bread.<\/span><\/div><\/li>
          • Once golden brown, flip the pieces of French toast until the other side is also golden brown. Another 2-3 minutes.<\/span><\/div><\/li>
          • Continue soaking and cooking the bread until each piece is golden.<\/span><\/div><\/li><\/ul><\/div>

            For the Blueberry Lavender Syrup:<\/h4>
            • Zest the lemon, lime, or sour orange and set the zest aside.<\/span><\/div><\/li>
            • Juice only<\/em> half<\/em> the lemon, lime, or sour orange.<\/span><\/div><\/li>
            • Combine blueberries, sugar, zest, and citrus juice in a small saucepan over medium-high heat and bring to a rolling boil.<\/span><\/div><\/li>
            • Using a whisk, smash half of the blueberries as you whisk to combine.<\/span><\/div><\/li>
            • Occasionally stir until the sugar has completely melted, the blueberries have softened, and the syrup has thickened. Approximately 6-8 minutes<\/span><\/div><\/li>
            • Once the syrup has thickened, stir in the lavender and remove it from the heat, setting aside the syrup to cool and continue to thicken.<\/span><\/div><\/li><\/ul><\/div>

              Plating:<\/h4>
              • If serving immediately:<\/span>
                <\/div>Lay out the French toast on a large platter. Drizzle a bit of the blueberry lavender syrup over it, garnishing it with fresh blueberries, lavender flowers, and mint for a pop of color. Leave a bottle or jar of the remaining syrup on the table for your guests to help themselves to more.<\/span>
