En honor al evento de degustaci\u00f3n de Domestic Gourmet en el Mercado Italiano de Mazzaro<\/a>, me inspir\u00e9 para crear algo familiar pero inesperado, algo que honrara la tradici\u00f3n e invitara a los invitados a experimentar el sabor latino de una forma fresca y elevada. Un plato de fusi\u00f3n italo-latina audaz, brillante e irresistiblemente fresco. De ah\u00ed la ensalada de pasta caprese con vinagreta de sofrito<\/a>. \u00bfY lo mejor? Es muy r\u00e1pido y f\u00e1cil de hacer y creo que es una maravilla.<\/p>\n\n

Concepto de sabor<\/h2>\n\n

Esta ensalada de pasta combina ingredientes italianos -como pasta, tomates cherry y mozzarella<\/a> fresca- con la profundidad latina del sofrito<\/a><\/strong> aceite de achiote<\/a><\/strong> Domestic Gourmet<\/strong> y un toque c\u00edtrico gracias al zumo de naranja agria<\/strong>.     • 1<\/span> lb<\/span> short pasta (like fusilli, penne, or farfalle)<\/span><\/li>
    • 1<\/span> cup<\/span> cherry tomatoes cut in half<\/span><\/li>
    • 1<\/span> cup<\/span> fresh mozzarella (pearls or cubed)<\/span><\/li>
    • \u00bd`<\/span> cup<\/span> small red or white beans, rinsed and drained<\/span><\/li>
    • \u00bc<\/span> cup<\/span> fresh basil chiffonade<\/span><\/li>

      Sofrito Vinaigrette<\/h4>
      • 3<\/span> tbsp<\/span> Domestic Gourmet Annatto Oil<\/span><\/li>
      • 2<\/span> tbsp<\/span> sofrito<\/span><\/li>
      • 2<\/span> tbsp<\/span> sour orange juice<\/span> can substitute with lemon, lime, red wine vinegar, or champagne vinegar<\/span><\/li>
      • salt & pepper to taste<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/div>

        Optional:<\/h4>
        • 1<\/span> tsp<\/span> fresh oregano<\/span><\/li>
        • \u00bc<\/span> tsp<\/span> red pepper flakes<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n

          Elaboraci\u00f3n paso a paso<\/h3>

          Cook the pasta:<\/h4>
          • Boil pasta in salted water until al dente.<\/span>
            <\/div>Boiling time varies depending on the pasta. Please refer to the instructions located on your chosen pasta packaging.<\/span><\/div><\/li>
          • Once al dente, toss lightly in a drizzle of Annatto Oil to prevent sticking and set it aside in a mixing bowl.<\/span><\/div><\/li><\/ul><\/div>

            Make the sofrito vinaigrette:<\/h4>
            • Warm 3 tbsp Domestic Gourmet Annatto Oil <\/strong>in a pan over medium heat. Add 2 tbsp sofrito and saut\u00e9 until fragrant and tender (about 2\u20133 min). <\/span><\/div><\/li>
            • Remove from heat. Stir in sour orange juice.<\/span>
              <\/div>If using oregano and red pepper flakes, add them in this step.<\/span><\/div><\/li>
            • Season with salt and pepper. Taste and adjust acid or salt as needed.<\/span><\/div><\/li><\/ul><\/div>

              Assemble the salad:<\/h4>
              • Combine cooked pasta, tomatoes, mozzarella, beans, and basil in a large bowl. Pour the warm vinaigrette over and toss until everything is evenly coated.<\/span><\/div><\/li><\/ul><\/div>

                Chill & Serve:<\/h4>
                • Chill for 30 minutes to let flavors marry, or serve immediately at room temperature.<\/span><\/div><\/li><\/ul><\/div>
